Care services restructure explained
FFES was delighted to hear from head of care services Szymon Kosciukiewicz and head of care development Victoria James-Priday at its June meeting.

FFES was delighted to hear from head of care services Szymon Kosciukiewicz and head of care development Victoria James-Priday at its June meeting. Both report to director of care Jonny Anders, completing a reorganisation of care services over the last few weeks.
The meeting, well attended both online and in person, was received extremely positively by members. Summary notes will be circulated to everyone.Szymon has worked through the organisation over the last 20 years. He joined as a support worker, working both day and nights, then became a shift leader, and for the last four years has served as manager of the STEPS service. It’s quite obvious he knows Epilepsy Society inside out, and presented us with various plans he aims to implement in coming months.
Victoria is vastly experienced within the social care sector, and is also a qualified learning disability nurse. One of Victoria’s responsibilities is the unenviable one of trying to secure appropriate levels of funding from the local authorities and NHS organisations that fund our loved ones. She’s also leading on the adoption of Nourish, the online recording system which has replaced logmycare in recent weeks.
Both Victoria and Szymon were open, honest, transparent and encouraging in what they had to say. We are grateful to them for spending a Sunday morning with us, and wish them the very best in their important and challenging roles.

FFES Our Voices Matter: A Request to be Heard addressed to the Board of Trustees of the Epilepsy Society
We are making this request to the Board of Trustees in the form of a letter, because our attempts to establish lines of communication with the current Board of Trustees have been largely unsuccessful.
